Jaein, coerced by her father and Chadon, has to bite the bullet and sign a fake marriage certificate to help Chadon, her sworn enemy, escape. What a strange twist of fate! Ironically, the schemes and betrayals, all in done in the pursuit of money, drops a nuclear bomb of love to passionless relationships between these men and women. Chadon Lee and Segwang Ji, incarnates of money and greed, never dream of being torn apart and hurt by love, something they think less valuable than a single penny. Yet, as fate would have it, it happens. That is the power of love. Love can make a ferocious, roaring lion act sweetly and an angry eagle sing like a canary. The main characters of this drama have wounded hearts. The main male character is hurt after being abandoned in his childhood and failing to achieve his first love. Meanwhile, the female lead character lives a dark life, suffering from visual impairment, after her parents’ divorce and separation from her mother and only brother. Life has no purpose for the male character. Similarly for the female character, life is a continuation of loneliness and exhaustion. However, when the two characters meet, their hearts flutter from the beginning and throughout the drama because they endlessly find hope in life and people even without realizing it. In a world where love isn’t taken seriously and at times, considered a joke, this drama seeks to find the meaning of true love that moves the hearts of people as well as bringing joy to them.
